The Great Leftover Debate

Updated: Apr 28, 2021

So often we are left with huge pots of leftover pasta, soup, and let's not forget the leftover turkey or ham from Christmas dinner. I don't remember a time when I ever (openly) heard anyone express that they don't like leftovers, till I became an adult. It really baffles me how a person can really enjoy a mean one day and the pure thought of them eating the same meal for dinner the next day suddenly makes the meal undesirable. After extensive research, I have figured it out... the idea of eating leftovers is not what #leftoverhaters don't like, it is the chore of taking all of the containers out of the refrigerator and heating everything up that makes them frown at the idea of eating leftovers (SARCASM) The reality is sometimes we need to jazz up the leftover pasta by adding some additional cheese, or take t

he meatballs out of the spaghetti and use them to make meatball subs. Instead of serving the exact same meal as the day before, use the base of the leftovers to create an all-new dish. Also, freezing leftovers is a HUGE money and time saver, so invest in a vacuum sealer or tock up on freezer bags.
