Manic Monday

So it is Monday and by the time you read this, your workday should be over, so CONGRATULATIONS on another successful Monday! (We celebrate all victories around here) How was your weekend? Did you catch up on some rest, spend some time outside, or just lounge around with the Fam? My crew enjoyed another action-packed weekend. (I ALWAYS plan to "sleep in" however, my internal alarm clock begins going off around 5:30 AM EVERYDAY) If you follow us on social media, then you know that were are gearing up to provide meal prep services, so I spent a significant amount of time creating lists, food shopping, cooking, recording, and documenting. It is important that not only can we prepare meal prep items for individuals and families, but we will provide reheating instructions for every meal. (Smaller, individual portions can be reheated in a microwave, however, larger, family-style meals must be reheated in the oven)...I say all of that to say, we are working so we can work to make your life easier. Let us help you Eat Intentionally!

COMING UP this Friday, July 2, 2021 is our first (virtual) Kids cooking class!!!!!! The kids will follow page #38 in the book to make our delicious Buttermilk Pancakes. Please review the ingredients and in preparation for the class, please have all ingredients pre-measured and set aside. (Allow your child to use measuring spoons and cups to accurately measure each ingredient) If you haven't already done so, please order your book ASAP to access the recipe. (Order here from Amazon) Hardcover books can take 5-7 days to be printed.
There are several spots available for the class, click here to register. Only registered participants can join the class.
Other than the ingredients listed with the recipe, here are a few additional items I recommend you have on hand for the class:
Freezer bags: (In addition to teaching the kids how to prepare pancakes, I'm also going to walk you through preparing multiple pancakes in advance, to properly store and freeze for another day.
Olive oil: adding a little olive oil to your griddle or skillet ensures you will have delicious crispy edges.
Metal spatula: A plastic spatula will work just fine, however, the sturdy/firm handle on a metal spatula helps with the pancake flip.
Griddle: A skillet will work just fine, however, when preparing pancakes I like to prepare several at a time, and even using my largest skillet, I can still make more on my griddle.
Toppings: Chocolate chips, fruit, whipped cream, food coloring...Let your child have fun and be creative.
I will do my very best to keep the class under 1 hour, however, this is an interactive class and I will encourage the children to talk and dialogue with me as we cook. Please share this invite with everyone you know, as all are welcome as long as they have the book. Again, books can be ordered here and you can register your child here.
XOXO
